Magnit is the Russian retail market leader by number of stores. Magnit was founded in 1994 by Russian billionaire Sergey Galitsky in Krasnodar. Today the company has more than 5.309 stores in more than 1.389 locations, being 5.006 convenience stores, 93 hypermarkets and 2010 cosmetics stores. Currently dozens of stores are opening every month, and the company employs more than 79,000 employees.
