Originally known as Software House International, SHI International Corp. is a US-based IT solutions provider in Somerset, New Jersey. It was founded in 1989 by Thai Lee and Leo Koguan. SHI operates more than 35 international offices, including two large Integration Facility Centres, Ridge and Knox, both of which are also located in New Jersey.
SHI employs more than 5,000 people and is the largest minority- and woman-owned business enterprise in the USA. In 2019, it was ranked tenth on the CRN’s Solution Provider 500 list of the largest IT providers in North America. Its projected 2020 revenue is $11 billion.
The company has achieved numerous awards. It is North America’s only international IT solutions provider to win the Microsoft Operational Excellence Award for twelve consecutive years, with fourteen overall wins. It also was listed on the Forbes list in 2020 as one of the best employers for diversity and as one of America’s largest private companies the previous year.
SHI has collaborated with a variety of major companies and conglomerations. In 2017, they were awarded a Managed Service Provider Partnership with Amazon Web Services. In 2018, the company signed a ten-year collaboration agreement to work with the US Defense Department, intelligence community and Coast Guard in providing software products for the US Navy.
