The Salim family is one of Indonesia’s richest families and owners of the Salim Group, a holding company with investments in food, telecommunications and banking, including a controlling stake in investment firm First Pacific Co. The Group was co-founded in 1972 by Sudono Salim and currently has assets of $20.9 billion across six countries.

Sudono’s son, Anthoni Salim, heads the family-run group today. Anthoni serves as chairman of six different companies, including First Pacific Co. and PT Fast Food Indonesia Tbk, the exclusive holders of the KFC license in Indonesia.

Anthoni’s brother, Andree Halim, is a controlling shareholder and acts as director and vice-chairman of Singapore bread maker QAF. Their sister, Mira Salim, founded Miracle Global, a Hong Kong-based trading company, in 2001.

The Salim family’s estimated net worth is $5.5 billion.
