The largest privately-owned logistics and supply chain company in Asia Pacific, Linfox operates across ten countries and employs over 23,000 people. Founder Lindsay Fox purchased his first truck at age nineteen in Melbourne, Australia in 1956.

Lindsay began by working as transport and delivery of seasonal consumer goods. In 1957 he purchased a second truck, and eight more in 1958. Throughout the sixties, Lindsay began to secure contracts with larger companies in Australia.

Linfox was incorporated in 1961 and renamed from Lindsay Fox Cartage to Linfox Transport Pty Ltd. A contract with Courage Brewery in 1968 doubled the company’s fleet to 60 trucks. Over the next three decades, Lindsay continued expanding contracts with multiple collaborators.

Peter Fox replaced his father Lindsay as Executive Chairman in 1993. With his leadership, Linfox sustained significant growth despite an economic recession. In the same decade, the company won contracts with Kmart, Wattyl and Carter Holt Harvey. Its fleet had also expanded to 3,000 trucks.

In 2000, Linfox controlled logistics for the Sydney Olympic games. It continued pursuing its growth throughout Asia and established operations in multiple countries around the continent.
