The Lavin family owns the OSI Group, a leading global food producer based in the United States. Sheldon Lavin gained control of the company in the early 2000s.

Lavin began his career as an investment manager, and in 1970, played a key role in securing expansion financing for the OSI Group’s predecessor, Otto & Sons. Lavin joined the company as a consultant, becoming a partner in 1975.

Following the retirement of his partners in the early 2000s, Lavin assumed full control of the OSI Group, which today generates over $6 billion in annual revenue.

Recognised for his philanthropy, Lavin has spent much of the past decade aligning his principles of environmental sustainability with the OSI Group’s operating policies and procedures.

Lavin serves as CEO and chairman of the OSI Group and sits on the Ronald McDonald House’s Board of Trustees.
